Don your favourite jersey for Micky’s Mile this Sunday

first_imgA 5km walk/run is being hosted this Sunday in Downings in aid of Micky Buchanan.Participants are encouraged to wear their favourite jerseys to the event (and considering the forecast, a raincoat may also be advisable!)Micky was diagnosed with a brain tumour called Glioblastoma a little over a year ago in April 2016. Throughout the past year, Micky has gone through intense surgery, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy. Half of the tumour was removed.A spokesperson for the event says that his treatment is ongoing, with many journeys to and from Dublin along with extended overnight stays.“Micky can’t work, drive or socialise, and has also been affected financially.
