The Mad Tea Party Jam will return to the Four Quarters Farm in Artemas, Pennsylvania this June 15-18. This year’s lineup will feature three nights of Papadosio, two nights of TAUK, three nights of BIG Something, and two nights of LITZ. Additionally, Spafford will perform two sets, along with performances from Porky’s Groove Machine and a Led Zeppelin tribute set from Electric Love Machine.This year’s theme will be “Summer of Love” in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the famed 1967 Monterey Pop Festival. Submitted to Sumner Newscow â€” Beginning Wednesday, Aug. 29, crews from Miles Construction will begin a waterline construction project that will install new water mains from Harvey to 9th Street along Elm Street.The project will also extend new mains along 7th and 8th Street between Woodlawn and Cherry Street. Interruption of water service will be required on occasion during the duration of the project; however door hangers will be placed at each residence as work progresses to proved as much advanced notice as possible.The project is tentatively scheduled to last four to six weeks.Â If there are any questions or concurs, please contact the City Administration Center at 620-326-3631. SAINT LOUIS, Mo. – Fresh off of a school-record performance in the 10,000-meters, Drake’s Emma Huston (Des Moines, Iowa) has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Track Athlete of the Week.Huston broke the school record in the 10,000 meters at the prestigious Mt. SAC Relays with a finish of 33:55.89 to shatter the previous 33-year-old mark by more than half a minute. She was the fastest collegiate finisher in her Elite/Invitational section of the event behind three professional competitors. Her time is the fastest posted by an MVC runner this season and the fastest since the 2014 season. It is also the 18th fastest in the nation this season and the 10th fastest in the West Region. Huston has now etched her name in the Drake track and field record book three times this season. Earlier in the year she set the school record in both the indoor and outdoor 5,000 meters.The Drake track and field teams return to action this weekend with competitions at the Kansas Relays in Lawrence, Kan. and MUSCO Twilight in Iowa City, Iowa.Print Friendly Version
