Gerschke Leads Bulldogs on First Day of Red Rocks Invite

first_imgStory Links First Day Results SEDONA, Ariz. – The Drake University women’s golf team played consistently on the first day of the Red Rocks Invitational Saturday at the Oakcreek Country Club in Sedona, Ariz. The Bulldogs recorded a pair of 321s for a 36-hole total of 642 and are in 11th-place. Drake is just one shot back from 10th-place Boise State. Host Northern Arizona leads the 16-team field with a total score of 604 (300-304).center_img Sophomore Aimee Gerschke began the day by firing a four-over par 76 and then finished it shooting an 82 for a total score of 158. Senior Madison Glennie is just a stroke behind Gerschke with a score of 159 (80-79). Junior Grace Dunn totaled a 162 (79-83), while freshman Sam Paulak recorded a 166 (89-77). Sophomore Sigurlaug Jonsdottir rounded out the team’s effort with a score of 170 (86-84).
