You can listen to the full interview below; here are some of the highlights:Rob Conway on Dusty Rhodes:“When I think of the NWA the names that pop I my head are Dusty Rhodes, Ric Flair, Harley Race, Terry Funk… The thing is that all those legends are either no longer with us or participating in the matches. So the idea of Raw back in 2005 when it went back to the USA Network from Spike TV and I got into the building and they (WWE) say we want you to do a segment with all these legends. We rehearsed that during the day because it was 25 people in the ring at one time. Then Dusty did some of his promo because you know Dusty winged most of it so I’m coming to the ring and I’m suppose to cut him off and start talking and I get in the ring and say nothing. Then they said to me hey you suppose to talk..I was in awe of all of those legends.”Rob Conway on the IWC complaining about matches and how rookie wrestlers critique veterans:“I never get mad about anything I’m glad that they watching. They have to watch your match to be able to critique it they can say what they want. My problem is when there’s lower or entry level wrestlers that criticize like a John Cena or someone on that level. Here’s a guy that they wish they could met or take a picture with but then say they don’t think he’s that good. If you’re a fan you can say whatever it is you have to say but once you become a wrestler yourself these are the guys that are way up higher then you, so your opinion should either stay to yourself or become a better wrestler before your opinion is voiced. “Rob Conway on working dark matches and if there’s a set time for how long you do it:“I would say for the most part they (WWE) don’t tell you what’s going on in the future. Either they don’t know what’s going in the future or they know and just not going to tell you. When you at that level being developmental you pretty much show up on time, do what you told, and don’t really ask any questions. One day you go out in a dark and you’re a good guy and then the next day you’re a bad guy. They gaining you experience to try to get you used to the guys on the roster.”Rob also discusses what who he rooted for during the NBA Finals, what weird compliment a fan told him in Australia, thoughts on NXT, winning the NWA Title, and much more in this exclusive 60-minute interview on Under the Mat Radio. videosPowered by AnyClipJohn Cena Says WWE Doesn`t Need HimVideo Player is loading.Play VideoPauseUnmuteDuration 0:32/Current Time 0:04Loaded: 100.00%0:04Remaining Time -0:28 FullscreenUp NextThis is a modal window.Beginning of dialog window.
