Syracuse picked 4th in ACC coaches poll, 2 players named to preseason all-conference team

first_img Facebook Twitter Google+ Syracuse sophomores Jamie Trimboli and Nick Mellen have earned preseason All-Atlantic Coast Conference honors. Syracuse and Virginia are the only two ACC schools with multiple underclassmen to make the team.Mellen, a redshirt sophomore, returns to SU’s lineup after missing the entire 2017 season due to injury. Entering last season, the defender was named an Inside Lacrosse Preseason All-American. Trimboli, a true sophomore, led all Orange freshmen with 15 points last season, including an overtime game-winner against Duke.Of the five ACC schools, Syracuse was predicted to finish fourth in the ACC preseason coaches Poll.
