Liberia president and former World Footballer of the Year George Weah surprised everyone on Tuesday as he lined up for Liberia against Nigeria at the age of 51.Weah Sr, who is just a few weeks away from becoming 52, returned to international competition after a gap of 16 years in Liberia’s 1-2 loss to Nigeria in Monrovia.Liberia had arranged the friendly to retire the number 14 jersey made famous by Weah. However, the fans had no idea that they are going to see the the former striker lead the team onto the pitch wearing the his famous jersey.According to reports in the media, Weah led the attack and still showed glimpses of class that made him a household name around the world in the late 1980s and 1990s.
