Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Rollie Allen, Faye Hudson, Norma Banks and Mendel Allen. Kenneth Dale Allen, of Laurel, was born on July 11, 1945 in Metamora, the son of Hugh and Flora Hunter Allen. He was a graduate of Brookville High School and later worked for and retired from Visteon in Connersville. He was always ready to help someone he knew as well as a stranger – one example was his strong belief in blood donation. Even after his diagnosis with cancer and ongoing chemotherapy, he waited for the day he could donate blood again. Kenneth enjoyed working on cars and loved to cook, but his favorite times were spent with family – especially spoiling the grandchildren. On Monday, June 12, 2017, at the age of 71, Kenneth passed away. Memorial contributions can be directed to FC CAN.
