Contiki shouts Hola Amigos with new South American destination

first_imge-Travel Blackboard cracked the code yesterday and Contiki has now confirmed that South America is the newest destination added to the tour group’s line up for 2011/12. The South American program offers young Australian and New Zealand travellers the chance to party their way through Brazil, explore Argentina and trek through the history and culture in Peru. Keeping up with current trends, a statement from Contiki read that there is an increasing interest in travel to the region, “particularly on the 100th Anniversary of Machu Picchu’s incredible rediscovery”.The new destination comes in time for Contiki’s 50th anniversary, with trips on sale “immediately” and the first tour group commencing from November this year. The length and cost of tours vary from an eight day Andes & Amazon Highlights to a 24 day exploration of all three countries with The Adventurer.  For more information on accommodation like the Amazon Rainforest Lodge (which is offered on the 24 day Adventurer tour), attractions and prices visit Contiki’s website.
